Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus goes live in India: Checkout all the offers before buying one

The most anticipated and much awaited devices of the year, the Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus entered the Indian market today and will officially go on sale at 7 pm today. Flipkart is the official online retailer for Apple, and is already accepting pre-orders for the devices. Amazon and Infibeam are also taking pre-bookings for both the phones. Apple iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus were unveiled exactly one month ago at San Francisco.

Apple iPhone 7 sales went online at 12 am, October 7 on Snapdeal. The two models that are currently available for purchase on the website are the iPhone 7 128 GB and the iPhone 7 256 GB, priced at INR 70,000 and INR 80,000 respectively. Customers with an Axis Bank credit or debit card will get an instant discount of INR 2,000 on the purchase, but customers with an American Express card will get a discount of INR 10,000 on their purchase of the device.

Flipkart is offering an exchange discount of up to INR 24,500. The maximum discount is applicable on the iPhone 6s Plus, which brings down the cost of iPhone 7 32 GB variant to INR 35,500. The exchange price for smartphones depends on the brand and model – you can get anywhere between Rs 1,500 to Rs 24,500. Paytm is offering anywhere between Rs 5,000 to Rs 7,000 as cashback when you buy the new iPhones. The cashback will be credited to your Paytm wallet, 24 hours after the phone is shipped.

In addition Bharti Airtel has announced that the company will be offering 10 GB of free 4G/ 3G data per month to iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus customers for one year with any Airtel Infinity postpaid plan. This free data will be above the plans existing benefits. What this means is that Airtel is offering 120 GB of extra 4G/ 3G data to users through the one year period.

The iPhone 7 features a 4.7-inch Retina HD display with the iPhone 7 Plus features a 5.5-inch Retina HD display. Both phones are powered by Apple’s latest A10 Fusion chip-set, which is said to be the fastest processor for a mobile. The iPhone 7 features much improved 12 mega-pixel rear camera setup with a new 6-element f/1.8 aperture lens, quad-LED flash, flicker sensor, OIS (optical image stabilization) for a better photography experience.

The iPhone 7 Plus comes with long rumored dual rear camera setup – one 56 mm telephoto lens and the other wide-angle lens. The bigger iPhone is also capable of 2x optical zoom, with total zoom up to 10x. Both the smartphone features a 7 mega-pixel FaceTime front camera for selfies and video chats. Apple iPhone 7 features a 1,960 mAh battery, while the larger iPhone 7 Plus is backed by a 2,900 mAh battery. Both devices will be available in four color options – Gold, Silver, Rose Gold and Black. The fifth colour option, Jet Black will only be available for storage capacity of 128 GB and 256 GB.

Starting with the iPhone 7, the 32 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB variants will be priced at INR 60,000, INR 70,000 and INR 80,000 respectively. Now, the iPhone 7 Plus, the 32 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB will cost INR 72,000, INR 82,000 and INR 92,000 respectively. As confirmed earlier, Apple will launch the new iPhone devices in India from October 7. Along with the new iPhones, company will also launch the new Apple Watch Series 2  smartwatch and the all new wireless earphones, the AirPods.
