Android N officially named as Android Nougat (not Nutella) by Google

Google has officially announced the name of its new Android N OS on its Twitter and Snapchat accounts there by ending the rumors of OS to be named as Nutella, Nerds and Naan. The official name of Android N which was earlier rumored to be Nutella is now named as Android Nougat.

For those eager to check out Android Nougat early, the software is currently available in Beta for select handsets giving you a taste of some of the new features which include split screen, a slender quick settings bars, fast app switching and Doze 2.0.

The Android Nougat is expected to be roll out this summer, most likely alongside the new Nexus Smartphones.
